this battery pack is massive compared to the netbook itself. However, you can use it as a handle to carry around the netbook. I followed all the instructions for first time charging to "condition" the battery right out of the box. The result is that I can almost always get between five to six hours out of it. Now, add another two hours for the standard battery, which you will already have, and you can get roughly 8 hours of battery time. It lifts the back of the netbook so that you will have a new typing angle. I actually like the effect. It's an excellent accessory and you might never put the stock battery back on
