This new replacement battery fits just like it should and holds a charge just like the factory Sony battery.

take away 1 star for cost, but this battery has been with me from my Vaio S360 now to my Vaio SZ360 (the SZ360 can still use the old extended, although the new extended is 600ma higher).
I get very close to double the battery life on both the S360 and the SZ360 over the standard batteries. Typical workload mix for me on battery includes wireless on, brightness at 2 bars, optical drive off, CPU power saving on max battery. I will be doing email, web browsing and business document creation and manage 4 hrs easily with this now 2 year old battery.
With the extended batteries, it really does come down to math folks. 7200ma provides twice the power of 3600ma. You have to consider the power draw of your laptop in terms of how many ma/h it is drawing and adjust accordingly to get X hours of battery life. 7200-7800 is a good number to provide a balance between weight and size, and sufficient power for an S or SZ series notebook with reasonable power saving measures enabled.
I think a lot of people either expect too much from notebooks and/or dont really have the technical background to understand what they're going to get given a certain usage pattern, component mix, and battery capacity....
