Intel is not only with iSRT ancillary product, but also for the first SSD that Intel uses the SATA 6Gbps controller on mSATA specification. So long after the launch of SSD, Intel has not launched a real mSATA interface SSD. The product with mSATA are only SSD 313 with SLC and the SSD 310 with MLC, but these two products for Intel are quite in favor of iSRT Smart Response acceleration features auxiliary purposes.
With the replacement of old 300 series, Intel decided to upgrade mSATA products, and introducted the 525 Series SSD.
Before Intel SSD 525 promote the retail market, and the Japanese Akihabara started selling this mSATA solid state drive.
The SSD 525 currently has four versions of 30,160,180, and 240GB, the controller uses the SF-2281. The 30GB part is obviously designed for iSRT technology, and the remaining capacity can use as separate system disc. The 30GB reads 500MB/s and writes 275MB/s, the highest performance 240GB reads 550MB/s and writes 520MB/s. The series price falls between 5180-26880 yen.
