Chery and Taiwan enterprises to jointly exploit new energy battery market
August 27th, journalists from Chery Automobile Co., Ltd. learned that the company's Chery Technology Inc. and Taiwan's BenQ Group The BenQ Materials Co., Ltd. signed the agreement. The two sides will set up a joint venture, cooperative R & D, production and automotive lithium battery separator, and co-develop the new energy battery material market.
Both projects, according to the person in charge, the lithium battery separator technology is the development of new energy vehicles one of key technologies. The Chery cooperation in technology and materials, BenQ will be auto-film lithium battery isolation as the main product, the product layout and further extended to other new energy materials, membrane materials and automotive markets.
The two sides will play their respective advantages,in the high-tech Industrial Development Zone in Wuhu, a joint venture Da Nite Materials Science and Technology (Wuhu) Co., Ltd., with each holding 50%. They plane to expand laboratory and experimental lines from the deployment, beginning in 2011 factory plans, projects an investment of 160 million yuan in 2012 to enter mass production stage trial locally, the annual sales income is 2.5 100 000 000 -3 100 million yuan.
