New Zealand Chinese Students and teachers have been jointly developed a new battery Awards

Recently, Professor Simon Massey University from New Zealand. Hall leadership with his Chinese students for joint research and development of a new type of rechargeable battery electrodes, which won the Bayesian Innovation Award.

It is learned that Hall and his students, Professor Mike. Liu co-invented the new type of electrode, it can be used in nickel-zinc rechargeable batteries. Their R & D projects of the patent has now concluded the laboratory stage and has begun to enter the production and market development period. The new battery will replace the nickel-cadmium battery and lead acid battery, and to competing with lithium battery.

Professor Hall now has 15 patents, there are 10 of them under development or application. HeĀ  received Fonterra Industrial and Applied Chemistry Awardin 2008 , also in 2005, the U.S. Department of Energy patent awards.
