R.W. Beckett Corp.’s investigation of lithium-ion battery technology
R.W. Beckett Corp.in North Ridgeville was awarded a $1 million grant for the project that will investigate using lithium-ion battery technology,which will be used in the utility and military markets. The award was made possible by Gov. Ted Strickland, the Ohio Board of Regents, Ohio Department of Development and the Ohio Third Frontier Advanced Energy Program that accelerates the development and growth of the advanced energy industry in Ohio by providing financial assistance.
The project is expected to to develop and commercialize residential energy storage technology to store power collected from any source of electricity for use at a later time.The product offering will also be applied to the civilian off-grid storage market that pairs renewable energy generation with power storage.
