Better Battery Life will be Included in Motorola Cliq System Software Update
T-Mobile and Motorola have released an update for the system software on the Motorola Cliq that its battery life is expected to be increased, an area where this Android-based smartphone has been criticized.
What is more,a new "Battery Management" feature will also be included in firmware version 1.1.31,which will enable users to select battery consumption modes that optimize data performance while minimizing batteries consumption.
The improvements in this firmware update go beyond energy management -- Motorola says it makes the touchscreen more accurate and protect against inadvertent key presses and unintended phone calls.
In addition, the performance of Bluetooth wireless networking is being enhanced, with improved pairings, audio, and call connections with wireless headsets.
Other changes in firmware 1.1.31:
Improved connections to corporate e-mail accounts
Quick Office 2 supports additional file types and enhanced capabilities
Repairs issues with lingering connections after hang-up
