The first U.S. solar energy company is to build largest solar power station in China
September 9, the first U.S. solar energy company announced that they have signed a major deal with Chinese authorities to build the world's largest solar power station in Ordos of Inner Mongolia in the next 10 years.The project has been invested 5 billion to 6 billion US dollars.
This means that the world's second largest solar cell manufacturer officially enter the Chinese market; at the same time,it stands for the first big U.S. companies entering the field of PV.
It is understood that the first U.S. solar companies will build energy and chemical base with the construction of a capacity of 2,000 megawatts of solar power plant in the Ordos City Hangjinqi, which covers an area of 65 square kilometers. At the same time, the company also plans to invest money for building supporting factories to produce solar modules and panels that power plants need.
Construction of the laptop ac adapterproject is divided into four phases: the first period will start on June 1, 2010,the power of generating could arrive at 30 MW after the completion ; Phase II and Phase III respectively will reach 100 MW and 870 MW that is expected to compelete before the end of 2014; by the fourth phase that will have been completed before the end of 2019, the size will be of as much as 1,000 megawatts.
