Extensive IMEC improve transformation efficiency solar batteries

IMEC using high-quality large area substrate (70cm2) epitaxial solar batteries have gotten 16.3% conversion efficiency. Chery and Taiwan enterprises to jointly exploit new energy battery market

August 27th, journalists from Chery Automobile Co., Ltd. learned that the company's Chery Technology Inc. and Taiwan's BenQ Group The BenQ Materials Co., Ltd. signed the agreement. The two sides will set up a joint venture, cooperative R & D, production and automotive lithium battery separator, and co-develop the new energy battery material market.

AUO joint develop the lithium battery industry with Chery Automotive

BenQ materials and continental Chery Group has announced a joint venture invested 80 million yuan, into the car with lithium battery separator material. Ener1 supplys the electric vehicles Li-ion battery for the Hyundai Heavy Heap

New Zealand Chinese Students and teachers have been jointly developed a new battery Awards

Recently, Professor Simon Massey University from New Zealand. Hall leadership with his Chinese students for joint research and development of a new type of rechargeable battery electrodes,which won the Bayesian Innovation Award.

It is learned that Hall and his students, Professor Mike. Liu co-invented the new type of electrode, it can be used in nickel-zinc rechargeable batteries. Their R & D projects of the patent has now concluded the laboratory stage and has begun to enter the production and market development period. The new battery will replace the nickel-cadmium battery and lead acid battery, and to competing with lithium battery.

Professor Hall now has 15 patents, there are 10 of them under development or application. He  received Fonterra Industrial and Applied Chemistry Awardin 2008 , also in 2005, the U.S. Department of Energy patent awards.

September Ukraine will start the solar battery project

President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovich on 25th said Europe's largest solar power station in Ukraine before the end of the project start in the committee meeting.

He said: "I believe,  we will re-start a number of different items. Including Europe's largest solar power station, the project will start this year."

He also added that the factory will produce solar batteries put into operation in September this year.
