this is pretty much a cheaper version of the original battery. I would still buy this one over dell.com more expensive version. The charges last a little lest but the rate of deterioration is not a severe as dell original battery (which died on me in a year). The manual charge meter found on this battery also didn't work.

If you're looking for a good alternative to the more expensive Dell product, this is the one for you. The pack and cord are compatible with my Latitude D500. If you're going to have to buy a new cord once a year, you may as well save some money by buying this product over the Dell product.

Good deal for the money including shipping. There were cheaper options but they looked sketchy or had bad reviews. the only problem is that thre shipping is not fast.you need patience to receive.

I bought two of these so that I can avoid having to relocate the AC Adapter every time I changed rooms. It is identical to the original on my DELL Latitude D500

this item is much better than my original one I received with my laptop. If you are on your original one, go ahead and order this one as a backup. Your original will burn out close to the 1 yr to 1.5 yr mark. This is a known issue evidently and I was unaware.
