although it is not the priginal, it works very well in my laptop since it was installed into it.

can't believe I waited so long to replace my Powerbook battery! This is an excellent choice, an excellent price and fits nearly perfectly. Slightly different surface appearance (everso slightly), but if you're like me, and your Powerbook is more than 5 years old, it really doesn't matter. The fact that this battery is about half the price of the official Apple one, and yet works just as well, is all that matters.
If you need a new Powerbook battery, get this one! Do not hesitate

bought this to replace a 3.5 year-old original that was down to just 30 min charge life. It fits nicely - nearly as good as the original profile. I followed the advice of calibrating (charge/drain/charge) and it works a treat - 4hr+ life. It'll keep the old Powerbook G4 going until my daughter gets out of college next year:)

Got it like 2 days after ordering(great!). Gave it 2 recharge cycles and got 3:50hr while beating it up(updates, virus scan, LCD on, WiFi on). Couldn't be happier!
The old stock apple battery got less than 1hr. It does stick out from the bottom and raises the rear of the laptop up bout 3/4" but to me, well worth it to get 4hrs of normal usage from a real laptop.
